Getting a job at Behaviour

There is no straight line to getting a job at Behaviour but there are a few things our team members have in common. Chief among them are they thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and they care about having a positive impact within the company.

It’s also important to know who we are as a company and to identify with our core company values :

Human in our approach yet driven in business
Creative in our ideas yet disciplined in our execution
Individually collaborative, collectively competitive
Passionate in our beliefs yet balanced in our actions
Pushing our limits and learning from our mistakes

If this sounds like you, you’re off to a good start.

Here are some other key considerations we take into account in our search for the right candidates:

Have the right expertise

It might sound cliché but we hire based on competencies. That’s because our job is to make sure that you possess the right skills to flourish in your role. Regardless of your gaming industry experience, we hire people with a solid background and/or genuine passion for their area of expertise.

Know what interests you

We sometimes receive 5 to 10 applications for different roles from the same person, occasionally in completely different disciplines. While we appreciate your enthusiasm and motivation, this can leave us a bit confused about your real area of interest. We suggest you apply only for the roles that really excite you. Contrary to the expression, we don’t mind if you put all your eggs in one basket.

Highlight your strengths

First impressions do matter and your application has the vital role of introducing us to you and your work. A concise, relevant and easy-to-read CV can go a long way.

Emphasize your top achievements and most successful projects. Link your qualifications to the role’s requirements. Give us access to your portfolio or personal blog so we can learn more about your projects and interests.

We love to see a degree of personalization so don’t be shy to share a few words about yourself through a cover letter: who you are, what you enjoy doing and what you want to do next.

The interview stage

Our interview style is pretty casual, so there is really nothing to prepare on your side.

The idea is simple: diving deeper into your background, experiences, hobbies and side projects. Be ready to discuss in detail the projects you have been working on with your team and the specific tasks that you have tackled personally. We encourage you to be yourself, to question things if needed and to voice your opinion clearly.

Rest assured, we will also take the time to discuss the challenges we face here and how you fit into the picture. During the discussion, feel also free to think aloud and let us in on your thought process, your creative side and any questions or doubts you might have.

Applied in the past and it didn’t work out?

The fact you didn’t land one role with us doesn’t mean you won’t be the right fit for another. Don’t give up and keep working on your skills and building your strengths — we will keep you in mind for future opportunities 6-12 months later.

We are always looking for talent with the drive and vision to make us better as a team. If you think you’ve got what it takes, get in touch. To check our current openings and apply for a job at Behaviour, here’s the place to go.
