Dead by Daylight Launches Resident EvilTM Chapter and Reveals Chris and Claire Redfield Legendary Sets
Montréal, Canada — The. Wait. Is. Over. Fans of Dead by Daylight, the hit multiplayer action horror game by BehaviourTM Interactive, can finally get their hands on the highly awaited Resident EvilTM Chapter today. To celebrate this moment, players are treated to yet another big reveal: the release of the Chris Redfield and Claire Redfield Legendary Sets for Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine, respectively.
One of the most anticipated chapters for Dead by Daylight, Resident Evil features the monstrous Nemesis as the Killer, known in-game as The Tyrant. With his powerful tentacle, he infects the Survivors, making them weaker and louder in their agony. Nemesis is accompanied by zombies, the first AI-controlled characters to step into the Fog. Survivors Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine each come with three perks to defend themselves from the enemies. They can also rely on vaccines peppered throughout the Raccoon City police station to relieve infections and continue on their mission to fix generators, open the gates, and save their lives.
“The Resident Evil Chapter marks an important milestone for Dead by Daylight and we’re very moved to finally see it out!” says Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead by Daylight. “On top of immersing fans in one of the most popular horror universes, we’re also introducing new dynamics such as the integration of AI-controlled characters. This will give players something completely new to discover and we can’t wait for them to finally experience it!”
The Arrival of Chris and Claire Redfield
In addition to embodying Leon, Jill and Nemesis, players are also able to step into the shoes of S.T.A.R.S. agents Chris Redfield and Claire Redfield as Survivors thanks to the Legendary Sets available through the Resident Evil Collection in the in-game store.
Previously a gifted pilot in the Air Force, Chris Redfield joined the S.T.A.R.S.’s Alpha Team as a point man and found new challenges to overcome. Donning his S.T.A.R.S. uniform, he wears a pair of wide ballistic cargo pants that are both flexible and durable as well as short, military-style cropped hair. Chris Redfield is available as a Legendary Set for Leon S. Kennedy.
After weeks of not hearing from her big brother, Claire Redfield left college to seek him out. Stopping for gas on the outskirts of Raccoon City, she stumbled upon a devastating biohazard. Caught unexpectedly in the mayhem, she used the skills her brother taught her to survive. Dressed in a tough, waterproof leather jacket “Made in Heaven,” she features an amber ponytail as well as a pair of skinny denim jeans. Claire Redfield is available as a Legendary Set for Jill Valentine.
“The Resident Evil franchise gave birth to a multitude of iconic characters throughout the years, and we know that fans each have their own favorite. So, the addition of two Legendary Sets introducing Chris and Claire Redfield is a way for us to treat our players a little more, while making this new Dead by Daylight chapter even richer,” explained Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead by Daylight.
The RE3 and RE4 Looks Are Back
The Resident Evil Collection takes fans back through time with two Very Rare Outfits that bring back Leon’s Resident Evil 4 look and Jill’s Resident Evil 3 look. Leon’s Persistent Investigator Outfit presents longer, lighter hair with an asymmetrical fringe. He also wears a moisture-controlled sheep wool jacket as well as a tough-as-nails pair of cargo pants. The Impervious Agent Outfit for Officer Valentine displays a shorter, more versatile hairstyle. She also has a light, flexible tank top as well as a sturdy skirt for fierce missions.
Jill’s Impervious Agent Outfit and Leon’s Persistent Investigator Outfit are available now for 1,080 Auric Cells in the in-game store, while the Chris Redfield and Claire Redfield Legendary Sets can be purchased for 1,485 Auric Cells.
The Resident Evil Chapter is available today for US$11.99 via Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Steam, Windows Store, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Those who purchase the Resident Evil Chapter will get a free exclusive in-game charm: the Umbrella Corporation. Additionally, players can currently enjoy various promotions, giving up to 50% off on selected items, including the Dead by Daylight game and chapters on their platform.
