Behaviour named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Today’s Youth

Adapting how we work to different needs and generations is an ongoing process. Behaviour questions everything every day and is always looking for ways we can better accommodate our team and make everyone feel valued from day one. Being named to the Best Workplaces for Today’s Youth list for the second consecutive year is therefore an important achievement, one made even more so by the fact this result is based primarily on feedback from our team.

Many of our teammates begin their journey with Behaviour as part of the studio’s popular internship program, which last year hosted +120 participants. Behaviour also welcomed 39 co-op and work term placements and 80% of graduates are hired full-time after their internships.

“Being named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Today’s Youth is welcome recognition of our efforts to provide a work environment that appeals to the needs and values of young people and our commitment to ensuring everyone feels heard and respected as valued members of our team, regardless of their age and experience,” said Kalina Morin, Behaviour’s Vice-President, People & Culture.

This dynamic is encouraged by Behaviour’s team-based structure and its emphasis on collaboration and knowledge sharing. Our policies also favour internal mobility and all team members have access to learning and development opportunities, training programs, and regular opportunities to define and develop their goals and aspirations with their managers.

The Great Place to Work Institute’s independent Trust Index survey of employees determines which Canadian companies make its list of Best Workplaces for Today’s Youth. To make the list, a minimum 90% of survey respondents must agree with the statement “People are treated fairly regardless of their age.” A company must also have a team that is at least 30% under the age of 35. Behaviour doubles this requirement, with 60% of its team of over 1,200 under the age of 35, and nearly 80% under the age of 40.
