Behaviour Interactive is looking for a Senior Gameplay Technical Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision and execution of gameplay development on our biggest franchise. You will guide high impact initiatives, mentor across levels, foster cross-functional collaboration, and be the right hand of the technical director.

In this role you will :
- Drive high-risk, high-complexity gameplay programming efforts that span multiple teams and disciplines, ensuring alignment with creative vision, production goals, and player experience.
- Design and implement evolve foundational gameplay systems (character controllers, combat, abilities, interactions, progression frameworks) that define the technical direction of the game, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability; clearly communicate technical direction to the wider team.
- Develop and advocate for new tools, workflows, and methodologies that enhance teamefficiency and long-term development outcomes
- Provide deep technical mentorship and guidance to senior Gameplay Programmers, promoting strong programming practices, gameplay feel ownership, and high-quality player-facing features.
- Lead profiling and optimization of gameplay-critical systems (frame time, input latency, replication costs), and drive code/design reviews to uphold responsiveness, stability, and player experience quality.
- Step in with hands-on support during critical development phases to resolve complex gameplay issues and maintain momentum, ensuring the game remains playable and the content pipeline works efficiently.
What we're looking for :
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Gameplay Programming roles.
- Experience working on multiplatform and on at least 1 multiplayer/Live game.
- Experience working with Unreal 5 or 4 and on networking games/online multiplayer games, as well as good understanding of a client/server environment in Unreal Engine.
- Very comfortable programming in C++.
- Proven experience in defining gameplay architecture and making long term technical recommendations that balance player experience, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
