Behaviour Interactive is currently looking for a Senior Technical Director to oversee multiple PC/Console game productions from a technological perspective. In this role, your main responsibilities will be to successfully deliver new games by coaching technical directors, drive processes for technical decision-making and manage communication with partners. You will contribute to the long-term strategy for the group and evangelize for Behaviour’s technical talent and its best practices. Business development support is also an important aspect of the role.
In this role you will :
- Guide the technical process of shipping PC/Console projects;
- Mentor Technical Directors supervising each game production;
- Dictate technical standards, and guide the development teams;
- Define the technological strategy for PC/Console development;
- Assess technical risks and devise mitigation plans;
- Harness others' technical expertise to find the best possible solutions;
- Build plans that favour talent growth
- Promote best practices
- Actively participate in business development to support company strategies.
What we're looking for :
- Previous experience as a Technical Director of at least one full AAA game cycle, from conception to delivery;
- At least 15 years of game development experience on PC and/or game consoles with at least 4 titles shipped (or completed at least 4 development cycles);
- Experience with PC and Console development a requirement;
- Great listener and team player;
- Strong strategic thinker;
- Ability to self-organize and work very autonomously;
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with other directors, leads, and staff;
- Ability to communicate well. Must be able to break down technical concepts for both a technical and non-technical audience.
