The Role
As paralegal/legal coordinator, you will report to the Chief Legal Officer and will closely collaborate with the creative, business, and corporate teams at Behaviour. In this role you will :
  • Review, screen and provide support to incoming legal requests;
  • Review and/or prepare legal documents (NDAs, supplier agreements, influencer agreements, amendments to existing contracts, release forms, letters, etc.), and manage the signing process of such documents;
  • Review the requests related to fraudulent use of Behaviour's content and enter the information in the trademark protection tool;
  • Organize and maintain the legal department's archives regarding the trademark and copyright portfolio;
  • Assist the legal team by conducting searches in connection with intellectual property, consumer law, software licenses and privacy; 
  • Prepare corporate documentation, contracts, and license summaries
  • Update contract templates, and translate legal documents; 
  • Define & drive initiatives to improve efficiency & legal processes.
What we're looking for :
  • You have between 2 and 4 years of experience in an in-house legal department or a law firm;
  • You have an AEC or DEC in legal techniques;
  • Ability to write and communicate in both French and English (the vast majority of contracts are in English); 
  • Autonomous Team player with a can-do attitude;
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality; 
  • Organized and pay attention to detail
  • Knowledge of intellectual property or experience in the entertainment industry is a plus.
