The Role
Behaviour Interactive is seeking a talented Senior Game Designer to work on our next wave of successful F2P titles on mobile platforms. As game designer, you will work within the design team to conceptualize new features, create desirable collectible content, balance progression systems, and create engaging gameplay scenarios for an upcoming action mobile game based on a popular brand. You will coordinate with the other disciplines of the team and clearly communicate your vision and follow through the implementation of your work into the game and ensure its quality. As a seasoned designer, you will also provide additional mentorship for the design team to augment their overall growth and knowledge.

Ideally you have experience in mobile game development, a strong understanding of free-to-play design and current successful titles in the mobile market, and a passion for creating fun and exciting experiences for players.
In this role you will :
  • Design systems that drive Engagement, Retention, and Monetization to fulfil the creative vision of the game
  • As needed, conceptualize virtual content such as characters, weapons, gear, items, and other collectibles that fit within established gameplay rules and features
  • As needed, establish stats, effects, and attributes for the above content and assist in balancing
  • Integrate in-game content using design tools, then playtest, iterate, and fix bugs in your work to ensure a high level of quality
  • Collaborate as a member of the Game Design team by providing feedback and input on game mechanics and content
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to establish art and animations needed to fulfill your designs
  • Create and update detailed design documentation for game features
  • Help to mentor team and set a positive example in establishing industry best practices
What we're looking for :
  • A passion for making and playing F2P games, and a good understanding of mobile game design
  • 3+ years of game industry experience as a designer with a strong understanding of game and systems design
  • Strong understanding of spreadsheets and advanced formulae for use in design
  • Shipped at least one mobile title in a design role
  • Thorough understanding of game design fundamentals and game theory on how to craft an enjoyable experience and content
  • Ability to write detailed design documents and presentations
  • Ability to write detailed design documents and presentations
  • Able and willing to adapt to constant changes
  • Excellent ability to communicate in spoken and written English
  • Level design experience is a plus
  • Experience with Unity Engine and related tools is a plus
  • Experience working on a live game is a plus
