The Role
As a 3D lighting artist, you will work among our team to create various lightings of environments and characters for one of our games. Working closely with your leads, you will also learn to meet the desired art direction whilst adhering to specific technical restrictions defined by the project. If you want to kick-off your career as a 3D Lighting Artist in the gaming industry, and take part in exciting projects, we want to see your portfolio and your talent !   
In this role you will :
  • Take the ownership to light game scenes once 3D environmental artists have finished building them in engine;
  • To meet a specific lighting vision defined by the Art director, you will also often tweak shaders parameters, create or modify existing textures, or adjust the level art of an environment scene;
  • Ensures optimal game performance by understanding and respecting the technical guidelines and optimizing of artistic elements, while achieving the desired visual quality; 
  • Contribute to projects on various platform (mobile, console, PC). 
What we're looking for :
  • Strong interest for video games and the gaming industry; 
  • Passion for everything related to lighting (photography, framing, color theory, etc);
  • Good knowledge of the modeling component of the Autodesk Maya software; 
  • Good knowledge of Photoshop, Zbrush and Substance Painter;
  • Understanding Physically Based Rendering (PBR) techniques; 
  • Portfolio demonstrates skills in lighting, the creation of 3D models, and textures; 
  • A drive to constantly follow the improvements of rendering/lighting softwares; 
  • Good knowledge of game engines such as Unity and/or Unreal.
