The Role

Behaviour Interactive is looking for a Senior 3D Environment Artist to participate in the development of its games. This versatile 3D Artist will be required to produce various game elements such as environments and props. The candidate will also be skillful in organic and hard surface modeling and has experience in the production of games on various platforms. The ideal candidate is autonomous and resourceful, with a keen eye for detail, and easily adapts to different styles. The candidate stays up to date with technological developments in the industry. 
In this role you will :
  • Able to create the main elements required by the production like landmarks, structures, centerpiece or gameplay assets;
  • Manages, and fulfil tasks included in a sprint without supervision. Able to supervise the work of other team members;
  • Ensures optimal game performance by understanding and respecting the technical guidelines and optimizing of artistic elements, while achieving the desired visual quality;
  • Ability to explain work in his area of expertise and the role it plays within the game or project. Ability to coordinate a project and ensure communication with other involved parties. Communicates with other departments to understand their needs and requirements;
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve productivity and workflow within the production and his team. 
What we're looking for :
  • 3D related Degree;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a 3d Environment Artist in the video game industry;
  • Mastery of the modeling component of the Autodesk Maya software. Relevant experience with other similar software will be considered;
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Substance Painter;
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine or similar game engines;
  • Knowledge of JIRA or similar project tracking software;
  • Understanding PBR techniques (physically based rendering) is an asset;
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate, orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner;
  • Passion for video games.
